Frequently asked questions
When we are providing you with a free estimate, we can go through the condition of the roof with you. If we feel we cannot restore the roof correctly or it will be unsafe, we will tell you at that stage. Our aim is always to deliver 100% customer satisfaction and to achieve this, we have to be honest and straight forward with our customers.
Tarmac sealing is when we apply a bitumen seal coat to the tarmac surface. This brings back elasticity to the surface and returns the colour back to black. Its great for extending the durability of any tarmac driveway and will prevent further unraveling of damaged tarmac driveways.
The red staining on your walls from a microscopic plant called microalgae (Trentepohlia). It is carried in the wind and will grow anywhere there is shelter, moisture and is not always in direct sunlight.
It will continue to grow if it is left untreated. With our formulae, we can remove and kill of red algae on any wall. It tends to grow strongest on gable ends of houses.
An average roof clean is done in one sitting and over the course of a day. However, that really depends on how bad the condition of the roof is and what type of algae / moss buildup it has. On some occasions, we will pre-treat the roof the day before and let it kill off the algae before we start washing it down the next day.
